Current information for a product recall concerning the US market only
Gerolstein, 5 February 2025: In the interest of consumer satisfaction and safety, Gerolsteiner intends to issue a recall of .75l Gerolsteiner Sparkling for the US market.

We ask that distributors stop shipment of this batch/lot number and that retailers immediately remove any bottles from this batch/lot number from shelves. In rare cases, these bottles could present a laceration hazard.
As part of our internal quality control process, we discovered that in rare cases, cracks can occur in the bottom of the glass bottles of .75l Gerolsteiner Sparkling from the above batch/lot number. Due to this anomaly, leaks or fractures could occur, presenting a laceration hazard. Gerolsteiner has received no reports of injury as a result of this issue.
Consumers should not use bottles from the above batch/lot number. Bottles from the affected batch/lot number should be disposed of. Gerolsteiner will provide a full refund upon presentation of proof of purchase of bottles from this batch/lot number. The Company will provide additional information for consumers, including a toll-free number to call for information, in the coming days.
Gerolsteiner in the meantime has identified and rectified the problem. The cracks in the bottom of the bottle are due to quality deviations at one of the suppliers with whom we have an ongoing business relationship.
Batch/lot numbers other than the one identified above are not affected.
The quality and safety of our products remain our top priority.
We therefore ask for your understanding of this preventive measure.
Gerolsteiner has reported this issue to the CPSC and is working with the CPSC to carry out the recall.
For a full refund, customers can return the affected bottles to the point of sale.
